Please find the latest update on Phoenix from Diana Paterson-Fox

Medical Detection  Dogs have told me that our mascot dog, Phoenix, has been withdrawn from Medical Detection Dog training. He had been struggling with his confidence and attention span( getting easily distracted and rather undisciplined when other dogs were  around him). The team had worked hard to resolve these issues as best possible , but he has not made the grade to move forward to the next stage of training.

He is currently on a test home stay with his new potential owners and will become a much loved house pet

Medical Detection Dogs are very upset about this , but it does happen quite frequently.

If any member of Phoenix is interested in joining a list of potential new  owners for these dogs  they should go to the Medical Detection Dogs Web site, go to the Contact page and send them an email and hopefully they will send you an application form .  It is not done on a first come , first serve basis as they try to fit the dog with the right owner and home.

Very sad news, as he was so cute.
