It was great to be back at Mosimann’s where we always receive the warmest of welcomes. It’s a hugely popular event that sells out so quickly.

Angela Rippon managed the event beautifully and we have to say, we should all take up ballroom dancing because Angela looks fantastic having just completed the Strictly Come Dancing tour in mid-February after doing so well in the competition last autumn.

We were very fortunate to hear from our guest speaker, Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine. Ingrid tantalized us with tales from her new book “My Mother and I” about King Charles III and the late Queen Elizabeth: a revelatory and perceptive account of the loving but often misunderstood bond between Queen Elizabeth and her heir

In 2024, the two charities we are supporting are “We Are Beams” and “The Daisy Garland” details of which can be found on our website in the charity page.

We were delighted to raise £4,000 from the sale of raffle tickets and two auction lots with one lucky guest leaving with a signed memento from Strictly Come Dancing donated by the fabulous Anton du Beke. Photographs of this event are available on our facebook page – Phoenix Fun Events, so do check these out.

It was a great event to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. We look forward to getting together again for the Phoenix Summer Lunch on 29th May at The Landmark Hotel. Click here for flyer. Tickets are £130, so let us know if you’d like to come by contacting us at phoenixfunevents@gmail.com.

Another date for your diaries is the Christmas lunch which will be held on 29th November at The Royal Garden Hotel. There will be stalls for those who want to get in some early Christmas shopping. Further details for both events will follow.
