Dear Friends

Gosh, how this year is rushing by – can’t believe it is almost May and time for the Phoenix Fun Events Spring lunch! We are excited about our planned Murder Mystery event on May 6th, kindly organised by Laura Collins. It will be great fun and a bit of an adventure for us all.

The theme for the lunch is 1920’s, so if you wish to join in with the theme, please dress for this era. Lots of boas, feathers and beads and flapper dresses which I know some of you have. Dressing up is not compulsory! Details of the lunch can be found here.

Our wonderful President Angela Rippon will again host the lunch, so we are in excellent hands. There will be a raffle and a short auction. If possible, please bring cash for the raffle, this is easier for our long-suffering Treasurer, Veronica Ralley. A credit card machine will be available as well. Please also remind your guests to bring cash.

Jigsaw Thornbury was one of our chosen charities last year and we are delighted to keep the contact going between us. They have organised a Golf Day details of which can be found here. Do get in touch if you would like help in participating in this charity event.

Change to Phoenix Fun Events Email address

The contact email address for Phoenix Fun Events has changed recently. It is now phoenix@phoenixfunevents.co.uk. Please update the email address in your e-mail account. Mark Plant has been single-handedly hosting the old Gmail address since we started in 2021, which was a mammoth task. As we are now so much busier, we have an Admin Office kindly supported by Linda Meade, Sheila Miller and Mark using the new email address. How grown-up is that!

One of the nicest things about Phoenix Fun Events is our volunteer team; we are all close friends. Volunteering to help others less fortunate than ourselves also helps us to keep in contact with each other, and with all of you, our wonderful loyal supporters.
